U.S. 422 SECTION PM2 – SANATOGA TO ROYERSFORD

Status of the Project: Ongoing

Construction Started: May 2019

Construction Completion Date: September 2021

Cost: $18,000,000

General Contractor: H&K Group, Inc. of Skippack, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the project which was financed with 100 percent federal funds

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Improvements are planned for the nearly five (5) mile stretch of U.S. 422 between the

Royersford/Trappe interchange and the Sanatoga interchange in Limerick and Lower

Pottsgrove townships to improve the service life of this major artery. 

 

The work planned in this section includes:

  • Milling, rehabilitation work and overlaying of pavement

  • Performing bridge repairs as necessary

  • Concrete,  joint patching and sealing operations

  • Drainage improvements

  • Installation of new guide rails and rumble strips, and

  • Repair or replacement of traffic signage along the corridor
