The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead bridge work is planned next week on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, under the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's project to widen and improve the Turnpike and its bridges between milepost 324 and milepost 326.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Monday, April 3, and Wednesday, April 5, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, left lane closures are planned on U.S. 422 in both directions between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202Opens In A New Window;
Tuesday, April 4, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, right lane closures are planned on U.S. 422 in both directions between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202; and
Wednesday, April 5, through Friday, April, 7, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating right lane closures are planned on N. Gulph Road in both directions between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202Opens In A New Window.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching this area. The schedule is weather dependent.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
